Interests: Staring at people. Sleeping all day on the couch, in the evenings it's Mommy's lap while we watch TV. "Helping" Mommy make the bed every day. Gazing out the windows, especially when Mommy opens them. Keeping Mommy company while she takes showers. Chasing things that aren't there. Greeting new people or returning visitors, especially allergic ones.
When I was 19 yrs. old I moved out of my parent's house. The first thing I wanted to do was find a pure white female cat. I told my best friend this and she said that she would keep an eye out for one around her neighborhood.
That same night when I dropped her, there on her doorstep was a pure white, female, and young kitty!
I figured a stray since she had oil and grease all over her. I took her home, gave her a bath and once she was dry she was a beautiful, white little kitty! I could really tell that she appreciated the bath and I think she knew she had found a forever home. I made a promise to her that she would never be unloved and lonely again. She is very spoiled and very loved.
Though skeptical of people at first, she is really good at remembering faces and voices so once she warms up to someone she is a friend to them for life.
Though I found her as an outdoor stray she enjoys being an indoor cat. She was extremely easy to train, almost a natural at everything I taught her. At one point I thought maybe she hadn't been a stray afterall since she was such a good cat but I decided that even if she did belong to someone then they were not taking care of her properly anyways. Then I thought maybe she was a missing kitty so I kept my eyes open for a missing ad or flyer but never found anything of the sort.
She really is an Angel, she was given that name by me for a reason. I look at her as my Guardian Angel. The fact that she is also such a good cat, I think her name is really quite fitting for her and she seems to like it as well.
|The Prayer of a Stray:
Dear God, plese send me somebody who'll care!
I'm tired of running. I am sick with despair.
My body is aching. It's so racked with pain.
And dear God I pray as I run in the rain,
that someone will love me and give me a home.
A warm cozy bed I can call my own.
My last owner neglected me and chased me away
to rummage in garbage and live as a stray.
But now God, I'm tired and hungry and cold.
And I'm afraid that I'll never grow old.
They've chased me with sticks
and hit me with stones
while I run in the streets just
just looking for bones! I'm not really bad,
God, please help me if you can
For I have just become a "VICTIM OF MAN"!
I'm wormy Dear God and I'm ridden with fleas
and all that I want is an owner to please.
If you find one for me, God, I'll try to be good.
I won't run away and I'll do as I should.
I don't think I'll make it too long on my own,
cause I'm getting so weak and I'm so all alone.
Each night as I sleep in the bushes I cry,
cause I'm so afraid, God, that I'm gonna die!
And I've got much love and devotion to give,
that I should be given a new chance to live.
So, dear God, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE
answer my prayer and send me somebody
who WILL really care...
